Next Sale: Thursday, June 2nd

Our next sale is Thursday, June 2nd from 9am - 4pm.

We are winding down. We have 3 more sales until the end of the season. If you are a long-time shopper, you know this is when the frenzy starts! The whole shop is 1/2 off.!! (unless otherwise marked) and furniture will be marked down, ready for the taking!!

Our last date of accepting donations is 5 days away: Saturday, June 4th.

So our sneak peak is 12 really nice fabric blinds that can be found in the warehouse. They are a hard sell because who knows the measurements of their windows? Now you can measure and come in to take advantage of these great window treatments! :one measuring 25 1/4, five measuring 26 3/4, five measuring 28 3/4 and one measuring 30 1/2

We have so many exciting changes next season. Something to look forward to in September. They are big. Not just some new paint big, but big big!

Hope to see you Thursday!

Greeting cards in the Gifts Room?
Speaking of painstakingly, the volunteers of the gift room organize each and every card, just like at Jewel, but again, fraction of the price.

Maternity in the Leisure Room?
Maybe not for you, but someone you know can pay $2.00 for Pea in the Pod maternity clothes.

Jeans in the Casual Room?
At $1.oo a pair, its worth a try!

Swim vests in the Warehouse?
We have kids learn to swim vests and adult water vests.

Hope to see you Sat.

We have a house full, tons of great furniture throughout the house, kids bikes and trikes, even a Twinner II (double) Jogger for sale - but that's not all! We have the Animal Care League coming with dogs and cats!! So do what it takes to get here!

The sewing department received a great donation from Dorothy-Marie,a hat maker in Chicago. They have all sorts of great millinery material located in sewing in the basement.

On a much sadder note, one of our own, long time volunteers, unexpectedly passed away this week. It has been hard for all of us here at the Economy Shop.

In Loving Memory of

Georg Ann Zussman

1939-2011

Economy Shop Volunteer Since 1989

Georg Ann Zussman, the Economy Shop’s Second Vice-President and Book Department Chairperson, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 5. Georg Ann was a wife and mother, teacher and union representative, community leader, horticulturalist, animal lover, tireless volunteer, and, most of all, cherished friend. Her sudden departure left a gaping hole in our organization and in our hearts. We will miss her smile, her song, and her hugs.
