It's time to think baskets. Baskets are great for the gift giving season upon us! Baskets are 1/2 off this week in the Basement Emporium.

The Basement Emporium also has some kitschy items this week. The elaborate egg heads are our favorite!

As always, there is some great lighting and furniture found in the Warehouse and Basement.

We would like to thank Metro Junk Removal for some great donations this week. Metro junk is a local removal service. The Children's Room is having a half off everything in their room sale this week.

There are some great Halloween tees for all sizes.

Women's Better Clothes have some great coats for the chill in the air. Some are marked 1/2 off already.

18 employees came out and worked on prepping the garden we will plant this spring in honor of GeorgAnn Zussman, a long time volunteer at the Economy Shop.

I know most of you have started thinking about Halloween. If you don't sew, you probably steer clear of the Sewing Department in the basement and make the dash for the Toys Department for already made costumes. No fear, You can still be super creative. The point is, there are so many other great finds down there for the non sewer. This skull, bought as a plain silver skull, was made (and almost finished) with beads all from the SEWING DEPARTMENT.

Phil in our Toy Department has declared Everyone In Costume Month, for all of October (he will be). He's thinking that's what it's going to take to clear the basement of costumes and accessories!

Our sneak peek are fantastic window dressings. There are three matching. The first measures 133" and two others are 44.5".

We had an incredible baseball card donation come in this week. All baseball cards are new in the wrapper! The toy room is selling them A Penny A Card!!

I also wanted to mention how great we look these days. We are so fortunate to have such devoted volunteers. Janet Debits is one of them. Our Gift Room, run by Infant Welfare, has never looked better than it looks today. Janet is a past president of ASID and a licensed interior director. (JrInteriors.com)

Norma in our Sewing Department once offered to take some buttons home and sew them on some cards since we had so many. She said they "will look better" ...and here is how incredible they turned out. They are all for sale.
